I have been some 20 schools in my life, well it seems like 20.Some schools I have only stay for 3 weeks, half term, full term or even lucky few years. I have been both state and catholic.
I found out later in life that I was born left handed, and the nuns made me used my right, by
hitting my left hand, saying its the devil's hand. This why my written skills should be better. Why I remember items, events and others clearly.

Most of the time schools were fun, however I did found it hard to make really close friends, because I was not too sure how long I will stay. I started my life rather late, I just miss the cut off point, so I started in late September of 1966, already year behind, until 1969,
I went to Catholic school, and 1969 I went to my first state school, as it turn out six cousins going to the same school, and next door to us was one of the teachers, so got a
lift with to school in morning, bus in the afternoon.

when we went live in New Zealand, again it was mixture of Catholic & state, it was in one of the Catholic schools in NZ I learn about punishment was with a strap. Coming back to Australia, again a mixture of Catholic & state. In one catholic school I was ask to leave because something my little brother had done, it was that school I was threaten by one of the
brothers, If I did not answer his question he would smash my head into the wall.

I was most happy with the last school, I had friends who supported me, when I need them.

Well this is the last time that speak about my family, before I move on into other areas, it is so draining to write about them, let alone you guys reading about them.
At christmas, birthdays and special times my parents gave us lots gifts.

As a child I did get along with my sister & brother, we had fun times. Before Mum died I had we talked about things, shared ideas, but all that change when mum died. I should have seen what was happening, but did not.

The school made an offer to me to redo year 11 or continue year 12 with my friends,
the principle had told me I had something special and the school would like help.
I choose year 12, my sister told me,the school felt sorry for me because mum had died.
I felt I had been kicked. Later I did Youth speaks for Australia comp. None of my family
came to support me, only my school friends dozen of them.

Year after I had left school, trying work out what wanted to do. The struggle to keep the family together was hard, someone had take control, dad was working long hours. My sister & I began to fight and fight hard, and really don't know who pull first push and punch, we were hitting each other, this would go on for few days, until I knew it was wrong to hit a girl, I went to my room and cried and cried, and said myself no more, and my sister knew I would never hit her again, so she yelled punched me and punched me again and I just took it, I was tried of the fights, she had won the control of the family.

Family was going down. In my early 20's it had got so bad with abuse of my sister with help of my brother and sometime dad, that I went in my room, got my chair from my desk, I had a long scarf, I had placed the scarf, around my neck, and tried the scarf to overhead light in my room, I was about to jump, when I heard a voice saying, " If you do this, Bastards will win" and the voice right, I untie the scarf and took off my neck, and I will not let them win. I guess here I am, not letting the bastards win.

an insight of my family when mum was alive, at times were fun and strange. Dad smoked alot when I was growing up, when I was about 6 I took one of his fags, because on tv and the ads the cool people smoked, (which is not true anyway). Mum caught me, and told me take 5 more and take them outside and smoke them one after each other, which I did. after the third one
I was sick as a dog. Today, I understand anyone smoking.

One of the strange thing mum did, was during public holiday in victoria, wanted to go the city to the pictures, she only wanted to take my sister & my brother, not me. I thought that ok, I'll just at home watch tv or read my comics, I was 7 at the time. No Mum I thought would be best not stay at home, she drop me off the Catholic, school I was going too, and the nuns would look after me. Mum drop me off outside the convent, as I way them good bye, I could see the nuns doing something outside, I wanted to go home, so I try to sneaked pass them, but I got caught and ask what was I doing, and I told them, trying make my way home,
they called on the local priest to take me home, you think I could remember where was home was! We drove about 40 mins, I could not remember, so the priest took me back to the nuns.

where they took me in, and I had lunch with them, and I told them the whole truth, the nuns were speechless. In the afternoon the nuns took me next door to a family to look after me the rest of the time, while they waited for mum got back. The family were nice family, the father tried to teach me how play golf in his back yard, he lost few golf balls that day. Their daughter was really beautiful with lovely blonde hair, she wore jean and blue jumper, the daughter very much older than me, 16. I remember given me lots of hugs, and she was very soft.
Around 4:30 Mum came around to pick me, she was all smiles to the family, but, when we got in the car, She was very piss off, I was sent to my room without tea nor watching TV. I cried a bit, then I went to sleep. I have no idea what the nuns said to mum, because mum would not talk about it, the nuns did not talk about it, like it never happen.- Strange tale, but true.

End part 2
